Leader: The waters of the Red Sea were parted before the Israelites.
All: Let us rejoice that water has saved us!
Leader: The waters of baptism wash away our sins.
All: Let us rejoice that water cleanses us!
Leader: As one family, we wade in the waters of God.
All: Let us rejoice that water unites us!

Collect
Father in Heaven,
at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan
you proclaimed him your beloved Son
and anointed him with the Holy Spirit.
Grant that all who are baptized into his name
may keep the covenant they have made,
and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior,
who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns,
One God, in glory everlasting. Amen

Sisters and brothers,
our baptismal vows call us to compassion and mercy
on behalf of those in need.
We offer our prayers for the church and the world.

That all who are baptized will hear and live out God's covenantal call, we pray...
Lord, hear our prayer.

That all who are unbaptized will seek God and the healing power of Christ, we pray ...
Lord, hear our prayer.

That the waters of baptism will serve as a reminder to all Christians that Christ has but one Body, the Church, we pray ...
Lord, hear our prayer.

That the parents and families of recently baptized children will be models of love and charity, and that All Saints' will be a supportive community of believers, we pray ...
Lord, hear our prayer.

That our pastor, Greg Moore, will continue to offer the waters of baptism to all who earnestly seek reconciliation with God, we pray ...
Lord, hear our prayer.

Lord God,
you revealed your Son in the waters of the Jordan
and anointed him with the power of the Holy Spirit
to proclaim good news to all people.
Sanctify us by the same Spirit,
that we may proclaim the healing power of the gospel
by acts of love in your name. Amen.
